Indoor Plants
Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen as part of the photosynthesis process. But newresearch has proven that many common houseplants absorb benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene as well. Some pollutants are also absorbed and rendered harmless in the soil of your plant. Even NASA has been conducting tests using plants to clean the atmosphere in future space stations, in order to keep them fit for human habitation over extended periods of time. The NASA study generated the recommendation that you use 15 to 18 good sized houseplants in 6–8 inch containers to improve the air quality in an average 1,800 square foot home. We offer a wide selection of indoor plants to green any environment. In addition, we have a great variety of indoor containers, soils, fertilizers and amendments. |
